Our Story

River Church was founded on a simple, powerful calling: to obey God’s Word and build a community where His presence transforms lives.

What began as a local congregation in Hughesville, Maryland, has grown to serve families across the DMV and North Carolina. Our mission extends globally through vital partnerships in Haiti, Africa, and the Philippines, as we remain committed to sharing the hope of the Gospel with all nations.

Under the leadership of Bishop Aubrey Farrar Sr., River Church is driven by a passionate commitment to discipleship, outreach, and equipping believers. Bishop Farrar leads with a vision to see every person empowered by the Word of God to live boldly and purposefully in their faith.
